REGULATIONS 4th RHEINLAND-PFALZ OPEN 2012
VENUE: Hotel Glockenspitze, Im Sportzentrum 2, 57610 Altenkirchen, Germany
7 ROUND SWISS SYSTEM
Buchholz system in the event of a tie (1 match result), no double prizes.
There will be ELO and DWZ evaluation of the tournament.
TIME CONTROL
90 minutes for 40 moves followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with 30 seconds added per move
WAITING PERIOD
30 minutes
ENTRY DEADLINE
Thursday, 7 June 2012 at 9.00 a.m. 9.30 a.m. for pre-registered players. Only those players who report to the tournament organizers by 9.30 a.m. will be drawn in the first round.

member of SBRP clubs pay 5 € less
PARTICIPANTS LIMIT
The tournament is limited to the first 200 participants. The earlier the application the more probable is the participation.

Rating prizes
• <2200 < 2000, < 1800, < 1600, <1400 – each 100 € / 50 € (only participiants with rating)
•Prizes for the best seniors, participants, and youth (U18 / U14), 100 € / 50 € each (min. 5 participants per group)
•Special prizes for the best youth players U12 and U10
•The highest ranked active player of a club of SBRP will win the title of
"Rheinland-Pfalz Champion 2012"
and will qualify for the "German Championship 2013", provided that they fulfill the terms and conditions of the German Chess Federation.
